6 months!

Alison celebrated her 6 month birthday yesterday with two little tooth bumps! We can see the little white ridges but they haven't poked through yet. She's growing like a weed and can barrel roll, and sits up on her own for a little bit until she sees a toy she wants and lunges at it. She getting to be so fun and interactive. We can't wait to see what the next 6 months brings!

Back to Work...

Alison with cousin KelceyA VERY scary ghost!
At VerHage apple orchard and pumpkin patch!
What a cheesy smile!

I returned to work this week, and I think that the anticipation of going back was worse than actually going back. Once I got there I was fine, but it was sad to leave her! We hadn't been apart for more than a couple hours since she was born! Here are some pictures from the last month. She sure is getting big!

Week Two Slide Show

Alison had her first professional photo shoot at two weeks, and the photographer put together this slideshow of some of the photos. It makes me cry every time! Alison is definitely getting bigger, weighing in at 8 1/2 lbs. on the FedEx scale at Dan's work! It's hard to believe she'll be one month old on Saturday!

Birthday Pictures

Alison in a Tutu ready for dance lessons.

Daddy and Alison. Alison was born with minor left hip dysplasia which requires her to wear a brace that keeps her femur at a 90 degree angle. She will likely have to wear the brace for 6 weeks to allow her hip to fully develop. The doctors think that she will not require follow-up therapy after the 6 weeks is up.

One day old.
