Back to Work...

Alison with cousin KelceyA VERY scary ghost!
At VerHage apple orchard and pumpkin patch!
What a cheesy smile!

I returned to work this week, and I think that the anticipation of going back was worse than actually going back. Once I got there I was fine, but it was sad to leave her! We hadn't been apart for more than a couple hours since she was born! Here are some pictures from the last month. She sure is getting big!

Here are a few updated Alison photos. She's getting huge! Twelve pounds at two months with lots of rolls and folds! She's getting so interactive and it's so fun to watch her learn new things every day. They really do grow fast!

Week Two Slide Show

Alison had her first professional photo shoot at two weeks, and the photographer put together this slideshow of some of the photos. It makes me cry every time! Alison is definitely getting bigger, weighing in at 8 1/2 lbs. on the FedEx scale at Dan's work! It's hard to believe she'll be one month old on Saturday!

Birthday Pictures

Alison in a Tutu ready for dance lessons.

Daddy and Alison. Alison was born with minor left hip dysplasia which requires her to wear a brace that keeps her femur at a 90 degree angle. She will likely have to wear the brace for 6 weeks to allow her hip to fully develop. The doctors think that she will not require follow-up therapy after the 6 weeks is up.

One day old.

Mommy and little girl.

Team Edds first picture. Happy family!

First picture with Mommy and Alison

Alison is about 5-10 seconds old in this picture. Waving hello to the world.

Alison Harper

Alison Harper Edds was born on July 29 at 12:13 PM. She tipped the scale at 6lb 13oz with a lenght of 20 inches. She currently enjoys long naps on the beach with an occational shot of breast milk.....yummy. She also enjoys sleeping, pooping, and tossing the ball to her dog.

The Countdown!

I know I have been completely lame at keeping up on the postings, but here is the rundown. At 38 weeks, our baby girl is still in the breech position. There is only a slim chance at this point that she will turn because she's getting so big. SO.... we have a c-section scheduled for Wednesday, July 29th at noon! It's just starting to become real to Dan and me and we're going to be parents! I'm still feeling pretty good, other than not sleeping too well and having to frequent the bathroom quite often. We'll be sure to post pictures when she gets here!

Patio Picutes

Here are two picutes of our patio that was recently completed. Becky Approved!!
Still working on keeping Brown Dog out of the new grass seed.

The Belly

Apparently, having a protruding belly attracts food to be dropped on it. This is what happens when I make dinner...
Things are going very well with baby Edds. It's 28 1/2 weeks currently and still feeling well, although sleeping has gotten less comfortable and my back and hips are sore. That's why I've scheduled a prenatal massage for this week, thanks to my loving husband! The baby is moving around like crazy, and I start my every 2-week visits this week!

18 at St. Andrews

Almost time to tee it up! (Clearly Dan posted this, not me! I'm not sure if I will be able to swing a golf club around my belly this summer!)

Baby Girl Edds!!!

It's a Girl!!!
I am now 20 weeks and rounding out. We're excited to welcome out daughter in August (name still pending). I tried to upload some scanned PDF files of my ultrasound. We had a 3D image of her face and it's amazing to see her tiny features... Aunt Erica's cheeks and Daddy's lips. I'll keep working on getting those posted....

Growing Belly

Here are a couple of photos of my ever-growing belly. at 15 weeks, I can still wear my normal clothes, but the pants are getting tight, and it's evident in my shirt that my belly is growing (although those who don't know me could just think I just had a really big lunch). We go to the doctor again tomorrow, then in four weeks it's time to learn the sex! I'm feeling really good and can't complain about pregnancy so far!

Big News!

I think most of you know, but about a month ago Dan and I found out that we're expecting an addition to our family this summer! I am about 10-11 weeks pregnant as of now and am due in late July and early August! No, I am not posting any pictures of my belly yet. It looks more chunky at this point than pregnant, not cute enough to show to the world. We're very excited, even though it doesn't quite seem real to us yet. I'm feeling okay... some nausea and some weird food aversions/cravings, but I really can't complain. I will keep you all posted and please say a little prayer for the health of our little "Nugget" (as we have affectionately named it!).

NY & Boston Vacation

Here are a couple of photos from our New York and Boston road trip last week. Our favorite thing was seeing Ground Zero in NY. What an eerie feeling to see where the buildings once stood and all of the local memorials. We had a lot of fun and saw many "touristy" sights!
